Body Found On Tulsa Neighborhood Street; Investigation Underway

Tulsa Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the street in a neighborhood near 81st and Yale Wednesday.

Police said they aren't sure what happened yet. They said there's a good possibility the crime didn't happen in the neighborhood and that the victim could have been dumped there.

Neighbors said they found the man lying in the street, covered in blood and called police. The man was dead before EMSA got to the scene and police are working to learn who he is.

Investigators have been knocking on doors all Wednesday afternoon looking for surveillance video or something that can give them some answers. 

“This isn’t something we see everyday in this area of town and they don’t know how it happened. It’s just random," said Officer Danny Bean with Tulsa Police. "Neighbors and residents are home during the middle of the day. As of right now, no one heard anything, didn’t hear any shots.”

The medical examiner will help make an identification and figure out how he died.
