Some Oklahoma school districts are already having to pivot distance learning because of the spread of COVID-19 in classrooms. Districts are reporting a lot of positive cases and staffing shortages.

Braggs Public Schools are switching to distance learning for the rest of the week because of a high amount of students in quarantine. The district said the current plan is to return on Monday.

Lunch will still be available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Hulbert Public Schools said the absence rate has exceeded 25% because so many students are in quarantine. The middle and high schools will be in distance learning through Thursday.

Chelsea Public Schools are also closed through Friday so buildings can be deep cleaned after several students and staff members have tested positive for COVID-19. The district said they will release more information on classes resuming as soon as possible.
