Rogers County Deputy, K9 Arrest 2 Men Carrying 16 Pounds Of Meth, Cocaine

A Rogers County Deputy and her K9 partner made a huge drug bust during a traffic stop, finding 16 pounds of meth along with cocaine and a loaded gun.

Deputies said they arrested two men from Missouri who have very different stories about what they were doing in Oklahoma.

Deputy Danielle Hamilton and her partner Thor have been working together for two years now and this is their biggest drug bust by far.

She said the meth was wrapped in mustard, ketchup and pepper in an effort to disguise it, but Thor was still able to smell it.

Deputy Hamilton said it started when she pulled a driver over last night for speeding, but it ended with the recovery of 16 pounds of meth, plus some cocaine and a loaded gun as well as Jason Brekken and Michael Lillard going to jail.

“Both of them had conflicting stories, they had both been to different places, that just did not add up,” said Hamilton.

Hamilton told Brekken he was just going to get a warning for speeding, not a ticket, but even then, she said he was sweating profusely and acting nervous.

“His nervousness wasn’t normal nervous,” said Hamilton. “Like when you get pulled over by law enforcement. It was very extreme. I spoke with him and his story didn’t quite make sense.”

That’s when Hamilton called for backup and brought out Thor to walk around the car, who immediately alerted to the trunk.

“He confirms. He lets me know whether something is there or not. He can sniff everything that is going on inside that vehicle and he will let me know,” said Hamilton.

Hamilton and Thor work interdiction, which is to stop drug traffickers going through Rogers County.

“I’m not looking at license plates, or anything like that. I’m looking at your body behavior and your reaction,” said Hamilton.

Hamilton said both men are convicted felons with drugs, prostitution and burglary on their records. Hamilton said this was a team effort between Thor, Lieutenant Ron Walker and patrol deputies.
