A new administrative building with offices and headquarters for several departments is being built to the north of the River Spirit Casino near 81st and Riverside. The construction is part of the casino’s master expansion plan.

Pat Crofts, CEO of Muscogee Creek Nation Casinos, said it may not look like a lot is happening, but then all of a sudden giant concrete walls will appear at the construction site. He said when the building is completed, security, transportation and other administrative offices will be located inside.

The 65,000 square foot building will also have a warehouse. Crofts said with nine casinos and two travel plazas around the region, they have simply outgrown their existing offices.

Many of the departments are located in the original casino and bingo hall on the River Spirit campus. Crofts said the plan will eventually be to demolish the building and turn it into more parking spots for visitors.

“Soon to come, you’ll see some major expansion here,” said Crofts.

The new building is expected to be completed in December.
