A Claremore man is in the Rogers County Jail accused of downloading child pornography.
Rogers County investigators said 61-year-old Donald Jones admitted he's been attracted to 12-year-old girls his entire life.
Investigators said this case is a prime example of why it's hard judge a book by its cover.
Rogers County investigators said Jones is a family man who admitted he's been downloading child pornography twice a week, for at least a year.
"He's just downplaying it. You know, the severity of it. From young girls, you know, to children, babies," said Rogers County Sgt. Bo Williams.
The arrest report tips came in from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a Google account was downloading sexual images of children. Investigators traced that account to Jones.
"There's a lot of back work to it," said Sgt. Williams.
Investigators served a search warrant at Jones' homes and said they recovered 33 sexual images on Jones' cellphone of children as young as four.
"There's a lot of satisfaction in catching somebody like this that otherwise would've not got caught and would've continued to create victims out there," said Sgt. Williams.
Williams said Jones confessed to searching for preteen images and said he doesn't make the material, only downloads it.
"We put a lot of overwhelming evidence out there in front of him. We put it out there like it is what it is. Here's how we got here. Here's the proof behind it and it takes a lot of the argument out," said Sgt. Williams.
Investigators said these types of cases take a toll on them.
"Yeah, they're tough. Yeah," said Sgt. Williams.
Sgt. Williams urges anyone who might know any information pertaining to Jones' case to contact the Rogers County Sheriff's Office.
