Oklahoma's Own Ree Drummond, also known as The Pioneer Woman, is cooking up a new adventure in the world of acting.
She's starring in a Christmas movie this holiday season called “Candy Coated Christmas.”
It's her first shot at acting in a role that Variety reports was written just for Drummond.
When she shared the news on her website, Drummond was quick to point out she's not an actor and has no aspirations to be, but she couldn't pass up the chance to play a part in a Christmas movie.
Drummond said she plays a relatively small, supporting role as a small-town bakery owner.
Variety said "Candy Coated Christmas" is about a young woman who goes back to her hometown of Peppermint Hollow after her life plans don't work out. Drummond befriends the woman, brings her some baked goods and introduces her around town.
Drummond hosts “The Pioneer Woman” cooking show on the Food Network.
"Candy Coated Christmas" is Food Network's first-ever scripted movie. It was shot in Utah over the summer and it will air on Discovery Plus in November.
Drummond said she's not holding her breath for any acting accolades or awards and she’s is mainly just glad she didn't fall down while filming.
She also said her character's name rhymes with Ree.
Drummond is also an author with many other business ventures, like a cookware and clothing line at Walmart, plus she owns and operates several restaurants, stores and a boutique hotel in Pawhuska.
