In an interview with Fox News Friday, Oklahoma Congressman Markwayne Mullin confirms he tried to enter Afghanistan to rescue a group of Americans.
He said his flight never made it to Afghanistan and he believes the Biden administration blocked him from entering the country.
“I don’t know who shut us down, but I believe it was 100 percent directed from the state department,” Mullin said. “The President and the state department, General Milley and General McKenzie were lying to the American people by saying everyone who wanted out could get out.”
When asked if he had any regrets about his actions, Mullin said “absolutely not.”
Mullin did not address the Washington Post’s claim that he threatened a U.S. Ambassador who wouldn’t help him get into Afghanistan.
