Driver Uninjured After Flipping Car On Turner Turnpike Overnight

The eastbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike are back open after the driver of an SUV crashed into a concrete wall and blocked traffic overnight. The person behind the wheel said a semi-truck forced him into the wall.

The GMC flipped over and blocked both lanes of the Turner Turnpike near Sapulpa at mile marker 218 around midnight on Tuesday. The crash happened at the split between the Turner and Creek turnpikes, so eastbound traffic was diverted and no backups happened.

The car had to be flipped back over and towed away. Troopers on the scene said the driver of the SUV is uninjured.
