The Veterans Center in Claremore just received a donation that will help its residents with exercise and mobility.

Owasso Ambucs donated four tricycles so the veterans can work toward their therapy goals while doing something fun. The trikes come in two styles, one powered by foot pedals and one by hand pedals, so people with different abilities can use them.

Navy veteran Sam Burns said he’s excited about the bikes and thinks they’ll get some good use.

“Oh, I like it. I rode this one around the pond and it’s good exercise,” Burns said. “It takes a minute to get used to it, to get accustomed to is, but yeah I like them.”

Ambucs said it will donate more than 25 of these tricycles to the seven veteran centers across Oklahoma.
