An original member of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is teaching a new generation of musicians right here in Oklahoma.

"I was like, grinning the whole time. I loved it," Rebekah McCarty, a violinist said.

Mark Wood held a workshop at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center for Green Country students on Sunday.

This was the first of several school workshops in Tulsa, Jenks and Bartlesville. Wood says his goal is to not only teach students how to be better musicians, but how to be more emphatic.

"The most important subject I think of the world right now, I think, is our emotions. How do we express ourselves?" Wood said.

Wood will be performing with the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra on October 9th.
