Firefighters Close Road Near 11th, Delaware While Crews Repair Gas Leak

Emergency crews are working to repair a gas leak at the intersection of 11th and Delaware on Thursday morning.

Crews from Oklahoma Natural Gas are working to plug a leak in a gas line that was hit on Thursday.

According to the Tulsa Fired Department, a company that was doing contract work for the University of Tulsa hit a four-inch gas line near 11th and Delaware.

Fire officials say the leak does not pose a threat to the public. According to TFD, neither the university nor the nearby Bama Pie Company suffered any issues with their gas.

Emergency crews on scene have closed Delaware between 11th and 6th while they work to repair the leak. 11th street is open in both east and west directions.
