It is about to be a busy weekend at Grand Lake as anglers prepare for Bass Pro's regional amateur qualifying fishing tournament.
The event begins on Saturday morning in Grove and takes place throughout Grand Lake.
250 teams from around the region will be competing for a chance to qualify for the National Bass Fishing Amateur Team Championships in November.
The top 40 teams in this event will advance to the national competition at Table Rock Lake with a chance to win $1 million.
While anglers compete in the water, the public can come out for a variety of fun events starting at 11 a.m. at Wolf Creek Park.
Bass Pro Shops says it will have free kids activities and live music, as well as celebrity guests, boat and ATV displays and opportunities to learn about fish conservation.
On the water, anglers from 7 to 80 years old will be competing.
The weigh-in ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 5 p.m.
Some of the proceeds from this weekend's event will benefit fisheries and conservation efforts.
