The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation mission is “Oklahomans dedicated to conserving, preserving and promoting our wildlife, wild spaces and outdoor heritage, for current and future generations.”
This month the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation will recognize and honor the incredible John D. Groendyke as their first Hall of Fame inductee at the Inaugural Gala on Oct. 29th at the Omni Oklahoma City Hotel.
Appointed by six Oklahoma governors, Groendyke has served more than 44 years on the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation Commission and is a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, the most prestigious award of the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies.

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation does not receive appropriated state tax dollars, and funds their operating budget through license, fees and donations. The best way to bring more and better outdoor projects to Oklahoma is by making a contribution.
Donations to the OWCF allows us to bring projects to Oklahoma faster, and often for less money, which allow more people to enjoy the Oklahoma outdoors.
