An Oklahoma man pleaded guilty in federal court to his role in two separate homicides.

Court documents show Matthew Armstrong admitted to going to Scotty Candler’s home in Seminole County in 2015 on orders from the Indian Brotherhood gang. While there, a man with Armstrong named John Knight killed Candler, documents say.

Armstrong also shot and killed Nicole Owl in 2017, after tying her to a tree and leaving her there for several hours.

The Justice Department said both killings were tied to the Indian Brotherhood prison gang.

He faces life in prison when he’s sentenced.

Nicholas Faulkner pleaded guilty in 2019 to helping Armstrong kill Owl. He is waiting to be sentenced.

Knight will go to trial in January for the 2015 killing.
