The Iron Gate soup kitchen and grocery pantry hosted its second annual Halloween drive-thru food drive on Saturday.
The pantry asked donors for mainly canned goods, like tuna, pasta sauce, and beans to help "scare away hunger".
Iron Gate's executive director says they collected 5,000 pounds of food at last year's event.
"That's probably only about a week's worth of food because in a week we could do 250 families, so it just depends," Iron Gate Executive Director Carrie Vesely-Henderson said.
Iron Gate hosts a drive-thru grocery pantry three times a week for those in need.
