17-Year-Old Taken To Hospital In Apparent Accidental Shooting In Bartlesville

Bartlesville police said a man was arrested after what they described as an accidental shooting Sunday morning.

The shooting happened at a residence just after 1:30 a.m. near Silver Lake Road and Nowata Road.

Investigators said they were called to the scene and interviewed witnesses who were at the residence for a bonfire.

Police learned that a 21-year-old man accidentally shot the 17-year-old, who was later taken to a Tulsa hospital for emergency surgery.

The man, identified as Anthony Jon Wolf-Darby, was arrested on a reckless handling of a firearm complaint. Wolf-Darby is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
