Cherokee Nation To Dedicate New Language Immersion Center

The Cherokee Nation is planning to dedicate a new building in Adair County where people can be taught the Cherokee language.

The Cherokee Nation is planning to dedicate a new building in Adair County where people can be taught the Cherokee language. The tribe finalized a deal on Friday to obtain the "Greasy School Building" from a School District in Stilwell. Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. says the tribe's goal is to save and revitalize the Cherokee language.
