November-like temperatures are back as chillier air filters back into Green Country to wrap up the week.
A few scattered light showers will quickly move out after the early morning hours. Some sunshine will break back out today, but despite that temperatures won’t climb very far. A secondary front will reinforce some chilly air across the area, with highs only in the 50s this afternoon and a stiff northwest breeze of 15 to 30 miles per hour. Keep the jackets handy!
Plan on a cold night for high school football playoff games, with temperatures in the lower 40s and that steady northwest wind gradually diminishing. High pressure will settle in overnight with winds going calm, which will set us up for a freeze across all of Green Country early Saturday morning. Cover up those tender plants or bring them inside if you haven’t already!
Seasonable November weather sticks around this weekend, with highs back in the 50s on Saturday and highs in the 60-degree range on Sunday as another quick-moving front moves through.
We’ll start to head back up the hill on the roller coaster ride early next week! Temperatures start to moderate on Monday with highs in the 60s, then very strong south winds kick in Tuesday with highs back in the lower 70s. Right now it appears that yet another cold front will arrive on Wednesday to knock us back down into chillier conditions late next week.
