A Green Country man is in the ICU after police say he was attacked outside of Oktoberfest three weeks ago.

His friends are planning a softball tournament to help him with expenses.

Tulsa police say Kevin Aebi was attacked outside of Oktoberfest three weeks ago while waiting for the shuttle busses.

His friend Wesli Turner says Kevin is still in the I-C-U, but slowly getting better.

"We're just doing the best we can, supporting him, be there for him, and just help any way we can," Wesli said.

She says their group of friends wanted to do something to help Kevin, so they decided to host a softball benefit at Challenger Sports Complex in Broken Arrow on December 4th.

She says anyone can play, and all money raised will go to Kevin.

"We're doing men's and coeds, it's going to be kind of an all-day thing, we're selling t-shirts, having concessions, all of that sort of stuff," she said.

She says while this has been a shock, the support Kevin and their friends have gotten has been incredible, and she hopes he will be back on their softball team as soon as he can.

"We're just praying every day that he's going to be back on the softball field playing with us in no time," she said.

The benefit will be at Challenger Sports Complex in Broken Arrow on December 4th. The entry fee is $250 per team. To register, contact Jennifer Holley at 918-600-4976.
