Broken Arrow police said they are looking for two young women, suspected of stealing a truck during a soccer tournament then using the victim's credit card.

One of the victims is pleading for her purse to be returned for sentimental reasons.

The truck belongs to a family in McAlester, it was stolen in Broken Arrow on Sunday and then found abandoned in Tulsa on Tuesday.

While the thieves could be anywhere, the victims and police want them in jail.

While Shari Bledsoe and her husband were cheering on their youngest daughter during a soccer tournament at Indian Springs Soccer Complex on Sunday morning, someone broke into their locked Ford F-150 and took off with the truck and Shari's purse and wallet.

"It's scary, really, to think that someone can gain access so easily," said Bledsoe.

Bledsoe said she immediately checked her bank accounts to find the thieves had already used her credit card at a Murphy gas station, then her debit card was declined at a Walmart.

Officer Chris Walker with Broken Arrow Police told News On 6 the victims’ quick actions helped officers.

"We were able to get an officer down to check on the car, and they found the car and got in a short pursuit of it,” explained Walker. “They did terminate the pursuit because of the danger aspect of it, and the truck was later located in Tulsa, abandoned at that point."

The truck was left with some damage, but the thieves are still on the run.

"They're younger women,” said Walker. “I don't know, 16 to 20 years old. I don't know if they're your typical suspect in something like this or not. It may have just been a crime of opportunity."

Bledsoe said she and her husband have three children about the same age as the suspects. They want the thieves to be held accountable.

"We work so hard for the things that we have, and I just want people to know it's not right,” said Bledsoe. “You don't go around stealing innocent people's things."

Bledsoe believes the thieves may have thrown some things out of the truck because several people have contacted her about finding her debit card and other items. She said the purse and wallet mean a lot to her since her husband gifted them to her for Christmas last year.

If you know who the suspects are, call Broken Arrow Police at 918-259-8400.
