Black Friday and Cyber Monday have come and gone, now is a time for giving back.

Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity to give back to local non-profit organizations making a difference in your community.

There are around 5,000 active non-profits in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Center for Non-Profits is a key player in helping local non-profits manage their businesses.

"Year-end giving often happens from the heart. That is why you notice all of the heart string mailers you get. I would say follow your heart follow what you love most in life," said Marnie Taylor, the President and CEO of the Oklahoma Center for Non-Profits.

Taylor also said to do some research before you give. Making sure the non-profit you donate to is well run and ethical is always a good idea.

If you are not sure who to give to but you want to give. The Center For Non-profits is a good place to start since they help a variety of local organizations.
