Tulsa Man Arrested, Accused Of Rape, Molesting 14-Year-Old Girl

Tulsa Police have arrested a man they say is accused of rape and lewd molestation of a 14-year-old girl.

Police say 38-year-old Terrell Tate was messaging the girl on Instagram and the messages turned sexual. They say Tate picked up the girl on November 1st and took her to his mother's apartment near 61st and Riverside.

Police say Tate admits having sexual contact with the girl for the next four days. Police say the girl messaged her cousin, saying she wanted to leave. Police traced the phone to the neighborhood and detectives and family members flooded the area with flyers.

She says Tate let her leave and she was found near 61st and Peoria.

Tate told police he was shocked to learn her age, saying she looked 17 or 18-years-old.
