Watch: Father-Son Piano Duo 'Ryan & Ryan' Perform Live On 6 In The Morning

A father-son piano duo from Tulsa just released a new Christmas album.

Donald and Barron Ryan are known as "Ryan & Ryan” and right now, they’re on tour. Ryan and Ryan have been performing as a duo for around 12 years.

 "What I like seeing people see father-son, oh that is so adorable. They expect 'cute' and they hear us play and their jaw is dropped,” Donald said.

Donald says the first time he performed with his son was at Barron's high school. They played again during his freshman year of college. In 2009, the two started playing professionally together.

"It's hard work, but that's part of the package,” Donald said.

Donald says he had been playing piano for most of his life when he taught his son, who has now been playing for most of his life.

"It's really special to be able to share not just family ties, but musical ties with family. We have a connection that goes beyond music, but our musical connection is really strong,” Barron said.

That special connection can be heard in their new album: "Adeste Fideles: Deluxe Edition."

It features eight of their favorite Christmas carols.

The project presents a wide range of genres from classical to calypso to funk.

"Favorite tunes, or familiar tunes presented in unfamiliar ways,” Barron said.

Ryan & Ryan have been on tour for two weeks starting in Bartlesville. They just got back from Virginia and Tennessee. Next, they'll head to Houston.

"It's just wonderful all-around to be able to share that together and to be able to share that,” Barron said.

Whether they’re at home or on stage, it’s the power of music and family that will last beyond this holiday season.
