Update: Tulsa police arrested a man who they said admitted to shooting another man in the leg.

Officers said Cory Fields confessed to shooting someone he knows at the Brighton Apartments near 51st and Yale on Monday. The victim is expected to be okay.

Police said the victim was running was when he was shot.

Fields was charged in May 2020, for shooting another man he knew at the same apartment complex.

He was also charged in October 2020 with kidnapping, burglary and assault after investigators said he barricaded himself in a couple's apartment and locked himself inside with their baby.

Both cases were dismissed because witnesses didn't show up to testify.

Tulsa police were called to the scene of a shooting at an apartment complex on Monday morning.

Police say the shooting occurred around 9 a.m. at the Brighton Apartments near East 47th Place and South Darlington Avenue.

After arriving on scene, officers found a victim with a gunshot wound to the thigh and a suspect with non-life-threatening injuries.

Currently, it is unclear what led to the shooting.
