1 Person Killed In Overnight Fire At Tulsa Home

Tulsa firefighters are investigating a deadly house fire near Archer and Quanah, just west of downtown Tulsa.

Firefighters were called to the scene around 2 a.m. on Thursday morning and found a man dead inside one of the bedrooms of the home.

"Our crews arrived on scene, again we had heavy fire showing when we arrived the first engine company did a great job putting the water on the fire and putting it out quickly that allowed search and rescue efforts to find the victim inside the house," said Tulsa Fire District Chief Joe Ariza.

Crews say they believe the fire was caused by a space heater.

Officials have not yet identified the individual killed in the blaze.
