EMSA says its crews have responded to five cold exposure calls in the past two days.

Paramedics say the sudden drop in temperatures most likely caught some people off guard.

Experts say you should dress in layers, avoid the wind, stay inside whenever possible and stay hydrated.

The need for cold weather response comes as EMSA reports 21 staff members out due to COVID-19.
