Oklahoma Forestry Service To Conduct Prescribed Burns At Turkey Mountain In Tulsa

The Oklahoma Forestry Service will soon be conducting planned burns at Turkey Mountain in Tulsa.

The River Parks Authority says the idea is to burn off the dead brush so it doesn't catch on fire and act as fuel for a wildfire.

Turkey mountain will be closed to visitors as the burns take place.

Officials have not yet decided on a date for the planned burns.
