Every player on the Collinsville High School Football Team is getting a championship ring, without having to pay a dime.

After an undefeated season, the Collinsville Cardinals won the state championship for the first time in the school's history.

People across town wanted to pay for their championship rings.

Reach Clothing made and sold more than 1,700 championship t-shirts and hoodies.

$16,000 from those sales, plus $10,000 in donations, will pay for the rings.

"It didn't feel real. It was the best feeling ever," said Cannon Howard, a member of the Collinsville football team. "I didn't sleep for almost a week after, just looking at pictures and videos every night."

The 61 players were sized for their rings last week.

The coach said they expect to get the rings in the next couple of months.
