The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has updated its pandemic guidance to say that keeping schools open for in-person learning should be the priority for students and the state.

The AAP urges vaccination, masking, and physical distancing and said remote learning has worsened educational inequities and a mental health crisis among children.
