After a week of snow and ice another warming trend arrives in Green Country.
Here are the details from News On 6 Meteorologist Alan Crone:
Mostly sunny skies and above normal temps will be featured for the early part of the week. Highs on Monday afternoon will reach the lower to mid-50s before warming for the rest of the week. Fire spread rates will occasionally increase at times due to variations of wind speeds, low humidity, and increasing dry conditions. A relatively progressive upper air pattern will remain across the United States for the foreseeable future, but sensible weather impacts will remain low for the week. The upper air flow from the northwest brings a trough across the area Tuesday night, Thursday night and this weekend. A weak surface boundary crosses the area Wednesday, and a stronger front is likely Friday night into early Saturday morning. As of Monday morning, the chances for measurable precipitation appear very low. Some data suggest a very low chance of a sprinkle or flurry Saturday before extremely dry air arrives from the north behind the boundary.
This typical La Nina pattern will present another good warm-up for the early part of the week before colder weather arrives for a day or two in the extended periods. The warmest days will be Tuesday and Wednesday with highs reaching the lower to mid-60s. The coldest day should be Saturday with afternoon highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Morning lows will of course be cold this week with this morning and Tuesday morning the coldest in the 20s for most locations. Weekend lows will take a dive, especially Sunday morning following the Saturday cold front.
Enjoy the break in the weather.
Thanks for reading the Monday morning weather discussion and blog.
Have a super great day!
