Putin Says Russia Will Conduct Military Operation In Ukraine

President Vladimir Putin says Russia will conduct a military operation in eastern Ukraine.

Putin claims the operation is intended to protect civilians and that the action is a response from "threats coming from Ukraine."

President Putin warned that attempts from other countries to interfere with the operation would lead to "consequences they have never seen."
