House Bill Would Allow Colleges To Study Psychedelic Mushrooms For Treating Health Issues

A bill making its way through the Oklahoma House would allow universities to study "magic mushrooms."

House Bill 34-14 would let colleges study psychedelic mushrooms for treating health issues; including PTSD, depression, anxiety, dementia, traumatic brain injuries, and chronic pain.

The studies could be of the mushrooms or the psychedelic compounds extracted from them. The bill passed the Public Health Committee 7 to 2.
