The City of Sand Springs on Tuesday plans to unveil what it says are the first free, public use, motorized track chairs in Oklahoma for individuals with limited mobility, that will be used at the Keystone Ancient Forest.
The forest features 500-year-old cedars and 300-year-old post oak trees.
"The Keystone Ancient Forest can now offer hiking therapy and an escape from the urban environment for any individual with limited mobility. We are thrilled to promote the use of the track chairs starting today," Sand Springs Parks and Recreation Director Jeff Edwards said in an email.
