Vandals smashed the window of She Brews Coffee early this morning, shattering the glass and walking around inside.

Police say the person didn't take anything, but there is damage to the store. However, the managers say this isn't going to stop them from serving others. The managers say She Brews is their safe place, so it's disheartening someone would do this, but it didn't keep them from opening their doors Tuesday morning.

She Brews Coffee manager Tisha Boyd says she got a call early Tuesday morning the alarm had gone off and she got a picture on her phone showing someone inside of the building. She says she immediately called her coworkers to let them know something happened at the store.

"It was just like a little bit of chaos you know, glass everywhere, police everywhere, and my first thought was I didn't want somebody in here if there's someone bad in the store," Boyd said.

Tulsa police say someone called them saying they thought they saw a person inside. Police say nothing was taken from the store, but the vandal did smash the front window.

"We don't know what kind of object broke the window, but we didn't see any evidence inside," said Lt. Jaime Kirby.

She Brews Coffee is a non-profit that helps women get back on their feet after incarceration. Boyd says the goal of the store is to be a beacon of light for the community, so that's why they were determined to not let the damage stop them from opening.

"We're not going to let anything stop our operations, we're gonna clean up the mess and push through and persevere like we always do," she said.

Boyd says this is upsetting, but She Brews Coffee is all about helping each other, and offering second chances.. and that's exactly what she says she would offer to the person who did this.

"I actually would like to talk with them and pray with them and see what's going on, on the inside and see what I can do to help them," she said.
