Tulsa police say two people were arrested for their roles in stealing tools from a truck and then trying to sell them online.
According to police, the suspects were trying to sell the stolen property online, so police helped the victim set up a meeting with them.
The victim told police that someone broke into his truck on Thursday at the Quiktrip near 41st and Memorial and stole tools and protective equipment he used for work. The victim told investigators that he saw the items taken from him listed for sale on a website called 'OfferUp,' an online marketplace. Tulsa police say officers then helped the victim arrange a meeting to keep him safe.
Investigators say when the suspects showed up they were stopped and the stolen items were found inside the car.
Police arrested Harold Dean Johnson for possession of stolen property.
Investigators say Joshua Booth was the driver of the car and they found brass knuckles and a loaded sawed-off shotgun in his car. Booth was taken to jail for possessing the gun.
According to police, the victim was reunited with his property.
