Salina Man Found Guilty Of Sexual Abuse

A federal jury found a Salina man guilty of sexually abusing a child while living in South Korea.

In 2016, Derek Flaming lived at a U.S. base with his wife, who is in the Army.

Prosecutors said Flaming tried to force the girl to perform a sex act. When she refused, he strangled her until she screamed.

They said he also downloaded child pornography and shared some of it.

Flaming could spend the rest of his life in prison when he's sentenced.
