Muskogee Public Schools Puts Some Students On 'Safety In Place' After Incident Near School

Muskogee Public Schools says some students were put on "Safety In Place" after an incident near some of the district's schools on Wednesday morning.

According to Muskogee police, officers responded to a call about a man who had possibly been shot near Callahan and Cherokee.

Police say the man was not cooperating with emergency services when officers arrived, but he was eventually taken to the hospital.

The district says the measures were taken out of an abundance of caution.
