Child advocacy experts say they've seen an increase in Oklahoma's child abuse and neglect numbers in the last year.

Oklahoma First Lady Sarah Stitt will be in northeast Oklahoma on Wednesday to visit two Children's Advocacy Centers. She will visit a location in Tulsa and another in Claremore to try and to shine a light on their efforts. The State Department of Human Services reports more than 14,000 cases of child abuse and neglect in 2021 including nearly 2,600 cases in Tulsa County.

To report child abuse call the state's hotline at 800-522-3511
