Local Group Brings Easter Baskets To Kids At St. Francis Hospital

Some kind-hearted volunteers brought Easter cheer to kids at St. Francis hospital. The Easter bunny visited kids and handed out baskets with candy and other treats.

The Tulsa Apartment Association and Leah's Baskets have been giving personalized Easter and Halloween baskets to kids in hospitals for the past 15 years.

"We want to give these kids a sense of normalcy so something like today gives these kids a sense of control, mastery and normalcy over an environment where nothing is normal," said Kelly Kemp, Child Life Specialist.
