A Tulsa craftsman has started a new project to help with relief efforts as the war in Ukraine continues.
Michael Benton with MWB Studios says after watching what has been happening in Ukraine, he has decided to start building clock boxes specifically for relief to children and pets in Ukraine. The boxes are made in Tulsa.
They are complete with the additions of the Ukraine sunflower on the outside. Benton says it takes nearly 45 minutes to complete each box, which has a functioning clock inside.
Benton says all proceeds are going to UNICEF and the international Humane Society to help with relief efforts for children and pets. He plans to make the boxes as long as there is demand.
“Even after what’s happening in Ukraine is over, there’s going to be years and years and billions of dollars needed to rebuild the Ukraine,” said Benton. “As long as there’s a need we will make these clocks and these boxes to help with that.”
The boxes are listed at $49.95. They can be purchased online and in-store at The Sky Gallery on Route 66.
