Livestock Tax Exemption Bill Signed Into Law By Gov. Stitt

Governor Kevin Stitt signed a bill into a law that exempts livestock from property taxes if it's used to support a family. That includes animals owned by corporations, LLCs, estates and trusts, as well as animals owned partially or fully by people or corporations in a different state.

Governor Kevin Stitt signed a bill into a law that exempts livestock from property taxes if it's used to support a family.

That includes animals owned by corporations, LLCs, estates and trusts, as well as animals owned partially or fully by people or corporations in a different state.

The law goes into effect in January 2023.
