Cherokee Nation Expanding Community Impact Grants

The Cherokee Nation says it is expanding its Community Impact Grants.

The grants go to help the Nation's Community and Cultural Outreach groups. This includes 40 groups within the tribe's reservation and another 25 around the country.

The groups focus on cultural preservation, nutrition and other areas.

Almost $ 1.7million is being added to the grant funds to help the organizations.
