Magic City Books Hosts Author Of 'Path Lit By Lightning: The Life Of Jim Thorpe'

Magic City Books hosted the author of "Path Lit by Lightning: The Life of Jim Thorpe."

Pulitzer Prize winner David Maraniss spoke about the process of writing his book, and trying to cover both the man and the myth that was Jim Thorpe.

"Winning two gold medals in the decathlon and pentathlon, being an All-American football player, and a major league baseball player. And he could, he was such an all-around person, he was also a great ballroom dancer and good at marbles," said Maraniss.

According to Maraniss, the book also focuses on themes from Native American experiences, told through Thorpe's story.
