Tulsa Police say a bad paint job helped officers catch a man suspected of driving a stolen car.

According to police, an officer stopped the car at around 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday near 41st and Memorial because the paper tag was expired. The officer then later discovered that the car was stolen.

Police say Willie Steward told the officer that he bought the car from a man he met in a park.

According to the officers, the car didn't come with a title or bill of sale. Police say the car was actually white but had a "fresh, and poorly done, spray can paint job" in black.

Steward was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.
