A place that helps entrepreneurs plans to renovate a downtown warehouse to create even more space to help people start their businesses.
36 Degrees North said this means all three Tulsa locations will soon be in one building.
A warehouse that was once the Oklahoma Tire and Supply Company will soon house the new headquarters of 36 Degrees North, after being vacant for more than 20 years.
"What made this building so appealing was, it's part of the fabric of Tulsa, it's part of the history of Tulsa, it's unique to this community," said CEO Devon Laney.
Laney said the new 112,000 square foot space will be hub for people to start and grow their businesses.
It will have conference rooms, private offices and a way for people to connect with resources they need.
"You come in, that's the front door, we're going to listen to what you're saying and then we're going to do our best to give you the help you need, within our programs or through our partner programs," he said.
He said people all across the country are looking at Tulsa to start their businesses because of the resources available here. He said this building will help bring jobs and economic growth to the city.
"You have to create opportunities for individuals to interact, to bump into those investors, to bump into other people building businesses," Laney said.
Laney said the renovated space will help Tulsa be seen nationally as one of the best in business development.
"That's a unique proposition anywhere in the country, and the fact Tulsa is doing it and doing it at such a high-class level is really unique," Laney said.
Laney said they hope the renovations will be complete by the end of 2024.
