The U.S. Interior Department is hosting a summit on the preservation of tribal languages in Oklahoma.
The "Speaking Sovereignty Summit" is being hosted by the Bureau of Indian Education. It will focus on helping tribes whose languages are critically endangered because there are so few fluent speakers left.
The summit will allow tribes to share ideas on how to preserve their languages.
The summit will take place on Tuesday, October 4th in Oklahoma City.
