Just in time for the start of fall, a Claremore farm and pumpkin patch is welcoming visitors this week.

Shepherd’s Cross is an oasis from everyday life to ring in the fall season.

Located off East 450 Road in Claremore, the sheep and cattle farm is open to visitors year-round.

But during the fall, you'll see a pumpkin patch and dozens of yard games for the annual Pumpkin Festival.

It’s a tradition that’s been going on for 31 years. Shepherd's Cross Owner Diane Dickinson says it's a place to come with your family and friends, or come as you are, and enjoy the peace and quiet.

There's an educational silo, a farm museum, hay maze, wagon rides, and petting zoo.

You can visit for free. Dickinson says all donations and proceeds from pumpkin sales will go to local and international missions.

Fall is a busy time of year, and she hopes the farm can provide a breath of fresh air to guests.

"We want to be a peaceful respite for folks when they come. There's a lot of craziness out there in life and so here you can come and grab a little bit of peace, some quality time with friends and family,” Dickinson said.

The pumpkin festival opens Tuesday morning, Sept. 20, and will welcome people until early November.
