A group of rescue dogs are performing at the Tulsa State Fair.
The All-Star Stunt Dogs Show travels the country and this is the 18th time they’ve come to Tulsa.
Thirteen dogs are part of the show performing all kinds of tricks from catching frisbees, dock diving, and agility racing.
On the lawn outside Central Park Hall, you'll see bleachers and a red tent for the All-Star Stunt Dog Show.
Owner Chris Perondi started the show in 1999 and the dogs have been showing off their skills ever since.
Four teams are performing across the nation.
"We travel all over the United States performing with our dogs. We do performing arts center theaters, we do festivals, and of course, big fairs, like the Tulsa State Fair,” Perondi said.
He says eight to nine dogs perform in each show providing entertainment for all ages.
Some of the tricks include free-style frisbee and high-jumping challenges.
There is the dock-diving event, where dogs jump off a dock and dive into the pool for distance. The dogs also race through an agility course weaving through poles, running through tunnels, and jumping through hoops.
"They're all rescue dogs from either off the street, a pound or a rescue group. And our mission is always to promote pet adoption, encourage people to check the local pounds and shelters first before adopting their next pet. There are some great ones out there that will make great pets for them and their family,” Perondi said.
The shows happen each day at the fair at 2:30, 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.
