Spooky season is here and in two weeks, the Tulsa Zoo will welcome guests for its annual event, HallowZOOeen.
The Tulsa Zoo is gearing up for its annual family-friendly event, HallowZOOeen.
"Anyone from age two to 92 can attend and have a great time,” said Monica Ericson-Simmons, Tulsa Zoo Director of Development.
She says there will be more than 15 goblin stops, where kids can go trick-or-treating.
You can check out four different areas: Andy B’s Arachnid Arcade, the QuikTrip Pirate Island, the Burger King Royal Castle and the INSURICA Pumpkin Patch Playroom.
Plus, you can take a ride on the Bank of Oklahoma Haunted Train or go through the newly designed Haunted House, sponsored by News On 6 and 98.5 The Bull.
There will be appearances from different animals, like Emma, the Chilean rose tarantula.
"Emma is one of the easiest animals to care for in the education department. She is super easygoing. We feed her three times a week, she gets a nice, juicy cricket,” said Claire Stephenson, Tulsa Zoo Education Supervisor.
The event kicks off on Friday, Oct. 21, for the last two weekends of October.
Ericson-Simmons says when it comes to Halloween, kids can experience the best of both worlds.
"During the day, kids can see the entire zoo and all their favorite animals, and then at night, they get a little bit of a spookier feel for Halloween. So, they get to choose their own adventure and they get lots of treats, lots of trinkets when they come,” Ericson-Simmons said.
