It's that time of year to start shopping for Halloween costumes. SpotLite Magic and Costumes at 68th and Memorial in Tulsa is family-owned and open year-round.
If you're craving costume shopping, there are so many options to choose from, like a slice of pizza to a movie character or even a dinosaur.
Halloween is creeping closer, but SpotLite Magic and Costumes Owner Sacheen Platten says customers have been shopping since July.
She says scary costumes are trending this season, especially ones related to the horror movie Scream.
You can find everything from full costumes to masks and accessories.
"I would say Scream's been popular. Superheroes are always popular, but the scary things I think this year for women, men, and kids,” Platten said.
Platten says princess and superhero outfits are always a hit for the kids.
If you don't want to dress up, but still want to be festive, you can find that too.
"Some people just wear a hat, some people like to wear a cape and we have some really pretty masquerade masks so that's simple,” Platten said.
Due to delays in shipping, the store's still getting packages daily with employees staying late to stock the shelves.
Platten says her favorite part is seeing the excitement in the kids' faces.
"And then they get their costume and they're so excited and they're so cute. Their parents are taking pictures, and I love that,” Platten said.
This is their busiest time of year, and she says people will shop until the very last minute.
